Affiliate program terms
What you earn, how you are paid, and what is allowed when you promote Pellio. Read the program overview first if you haven’t.
Last updated 6 October 2026.
1. The program
- The Pellio affiliate program is run by ScaleMath Ltd (128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom), trading as Pellio ("we", "us"). These terms are an agreement between us and you, the affiliate, from the day we approve your application until either of us ends it.
- You need a Pellio account to apply and to see your earnings. You must be at least 18 and able to enter into contracts. If you apply for a company, you confirm you may bind it.
- We review every application and may decline it without giving a reason. We may also pause or end your participation at any time (see section 8).
2. Your link and how referrals are tracked
- Once approved you get an affiliate code and a link in the form pellio.io/?ref=yourcode. The code works on any page of pellio.io, in every language.
- When someone clicks your link, pellio.io stores your code in a cookie in their browser for 60 days. If they click another affiliate’s link later, the newer link wins. A workspace created while the cookie is present is linked to you for good.
- A new workspace can also name who referred it, in its billing settings, within 14 days of being created. We credit it to you if no one else is linked to it.
- Tracking depends on the visitor’s browser accepting cookies and signing up in the same browser. We do not pay commission on sign-ups we could not link to you, and we are the final judge of whether a referral is linked.
3. Commissions
- You earn 25% of every payment a referred workspace makes to Pellio for the first 12 months after its first payment, unless we have agreed a different rate or length with you in writing. A different rate agreed with you applies to payments made after we record it.
- Commission is calculated on the amount the customer actually pays, excluding VAT and other taxes, including plan payments and add-ons such as extra seats and storage charged on the same subscription. Credit from a downgrade, complimentary plans, trials, discounts and the AI dubbing add-on earn nothing. Enterprise agreements earn commission only where we have agreed so in writing.
- A workspace is counted once: it belongs to the affiliate it was linked to first and never moves. A workspace that already existed before it was linked to you, or in which you are a member, earns nothing.
- Each commission is held for 30 days after the payment. If the payment is refunded or disputed in that time, the commission is cancelled, or reduced for a partial refund. If a payment is refunded or disputed after we have paid you for it, we take the amount off your next payout.
- We may cancel commissions on referrals that break these terms (section 6), and remove the referral.
4. Payouts
- We pay approved commissions once a month, by PayPal or by bank transfer, in US dollars, once your approved balance is at least $50. Smaller balances carry over.
- You give us accurate payout details on your affiliate page and keep them current. We are not responsible for payments sent to details you gave us that are wrong or out of date. Fees charged by PayPal, your bank or currency conversion are yours.
- You are responsible for all taxes on your commissions. If you are registered for VAT, give us your VAT number: we treat our payment statements as self-billed invoices where that applies. We may withhold tax where the law requires it.
- If you have not given us payout details within 12 months of a commission being approved, that commission is forfeited.
5. What you can say about Pellio
- Describe Pellio accurately. Do not make claims about features, prices or results that are not on pellio.io, and do not present yourself as Pellio, as an employee, or as an official partner unless we have agreed that in writing.
- You may use the Pellio name and logos as shown on our brand assets page, only to promote Pellio under these terms. Do not alter them or use them in a domain name, social media handle or app name.
- Tell your audience that your link is an affiliate link, clearly and close to the link, as advertising rules require where you are (for example the FTC in the US and the ASA in the UK).
6. What is not allowed
- Paid advertising that mentions Pellio, bids on "Pellio" or similar terms, or sends traffic straight to your affiliate link, on search engines, social networks or elsewhere. Clicks arriving from paid ads are not credited.
- Coupon, deal, cashback or discount sites, or offering a share of your commission to the customer, unless we agree to it in writing.
- Referring yourself, your company, people in your household, or any workspace you are or become a member of.
- Setting the cookie without a real click: pop-ups, iframes, redirects, scripts, browser extensions or any other form of cookie stuffing.
- Unsolicited email or messages, posting your link in places where it is not welcome, or anything illegal, misleading or harmful to Pellio’s reputation.
- Making a referred customer pay in a way that does not reach Pellio, or helping them get around Pellio’s plans or limits.
7. Changes to the program
- We may change the commission rate, the length of time commissions are earned, the hold period, the minimum payout or these terms. We tell you by email at least 30 days before a change that reduces what you earn. Changes apply to payments made after they take effect, never to commissions already earned.
8. Ending the agreement
- You can leave the program at any time by writing to us. We can pause or end your participation at any time, with or without a reason, by email.
- When the agreement ends, commissions already approved are paid on the next payout run, and commissions still inside their hold are paid once the hold ends, unless the agreement ended because you broke these terms, in which case unpaid commissions are forfeited. Payments made by referred customers after the agreement ends earn nothing.
9. The relationship between us
- You are an independent contractor. Nothing here makes you our employee, agent, partner or representative, and you may not make promises or commitments for us.
- Referred customers are Pellio’s customers. Your affiliate page shows what you have earned and when customers joined and paid, but not who they are, and you have no rights over their data.
- The program is provided as it is. Our total liability to you under this agreement is limited to the commissions we paid you in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
- This agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
