Importing videos

Click Import in the Library.

From a URL

Paste a direct link to a video file (for example https://example.com/video.mp4). Pellio downloads and processes it.

From Vimeo or Wistia

Paste an API token and Pellio imports every video in the account, with its title, description and captions.

• Vimeo: create a personal access token at developer.vimeo.com → My Apps → Generate token, with the Private and Video Files scopes. Downloads must be available on your Vimeo plan.
• Wistia: create an API token in Account → Settings → API Access with read access to your media.

The token is used for that import only and is never stored. Running the import again later only brings in videos that aren’t already in Pellio.

Replacing old embeds

If your site runs WordPress, the Pellio plugin can then swap your old Vimeo and Wistia embeds for Pellio across every post, with undo. See WordPress plugin.
