  1. Announcement

    Pellio is in private beta

    Fast, private video hosting with interactive players and real analytics.

    Pellio hosts, streams and protects your videos with a clean, ad-free player, and shows you exactly who watched what. It’s free during the beta, with every feature included.

    Start at pellio.io/app/sign-up.

  2. New feature

    Interactive video and leads

    Email capture, calls to action, annotation cards and end screens, with leads synced to Mailchimp and HubSpot.

    • Add email-capture forms before, during or after a video, calls to action that pause at the right moment, corner cards and end screens. There’s no limit per video.
    • Every submission lands in the new Leads page, with CSV export and a lead.captured webhook.
    • Connect Mailchimp or HubSpot in Settings → Integrations to sync leads automatically.
    • See views and conversion for each interaction, and where it sits on the retention curve.
  3. New feature

    Per-viewer heatmaps

    See which parts of a video each person watched, skipped or rewatched.

    The new Viewers tab shows a heatmap for every viewer, merged across their sessions, with the interactions they used. Viewers are named when they fill in a form, watch on your WordPress site while logged in, or are identified through the player API.

    Analytics in the sidebar adds a workspace view of plays, watch time and top videos for the last 7, 30 or 90 days.

    The Pellio plugin for WordPress

    Upload from the editor, embed private videos and migrate old embeds.

    • A Pellio block with drag-and-drop uploads straight to Pellio, a library picker, a classic-editor button and a [pellio] shortcode.
    • Signed embeds, so private and domain-locked videos play only on your site.
    • A lightweight poster until play, plus VideoObject structured data.
    • Tools → Pellio swaps Vimeo and Wistia embeds site-wide with undo, and offloads Media Library videos. Everything is also available in WP-CLI.
    • LifterLMS: require watching before completion, checked against the seconds actually watched, plus seek lock, resume and reporting.
  5. New feature

    Import from Vimeo and Wistia

    Bring your whole library across with one API token.

    Library → Import now brings in every video from a Vimeo or Wistia account, with titles, descriptions and captions. The token is used once and never stored, and re-running an import only adds new videos. You can still import single videos from a URL.

  6. Improvement

    A new dashboard, with dark mode

    A faster way around: sidebar navigation, ⌘K search and a dark theme.

    • A sidebar with your library, folders, analytics, leads and settings.
    • Press ⌘K (or Ctrl+K) to find a video or jump anywhere.
    • Light, dark or system theme from the account menu.
    • Settings split into General, Team, Integrations, Developers, Security and Usage.
  7. Improvement

    Resumable uploads, Trash, bulk actions and teams

    Bigger uploads, safer deletes and room for your whole team.

    • Large uploads go up in parallel chunks and resume after a dropped connection or a closed tab.
    • Deleted videos go to Trash for 30 days before they’re removed.
    • Select many videos to move, tag, change privacy or delete them at once, and sort the library by date, title or length.
    • Invite teammates as owners, admins, members or viewers, run several workspaces, and protect your account with two-factor authentication.
