HubSpot
Turn video viewers into HubSpot contacts and see what they watched.
What you can do
- Create or update a HubSpot contact, with email, first name and last name, whenever someone fills in a Pellio email form.
- Add Pellio contact properties with video engagement: the last video watched, its progress, when, and videos completed.
- Use those properties in HubSpot lists and workflows, for example to follow up with people who finished a demo.
Set it up
- In HubSpot, go to Settings → Integrations → Private apps and create a private app.
- Give it the
crm.objects.contacts.writescope. For video engagement, also addcrm.schemas.contacts.write, so Pellio can add its contact properties. - Copy the app’s access token.
- In Pellio, go to Settings → Integrations and click Connect on HubSpot.
- Paste the token into Private app access token and save. Pellio checks it straight away.
- Leave Sync video engagement on if you want watch data in HubSpot.
Good to know
- Engagement is sent for identified viewers: people who filled in a form, came from a link with
?email=, or are signed in on your connected WordPress site. - Pellio sends a milestone when they start, pass 25%, 50% and 75%, and complete a video (90%, counting only what they actually watched, across visits). Each milestone is sent once.
- Engagement only updates people who are already contacts in HubSpot. It never adds anyone.
- Credentials are stored encrypted. If a sync fails, the integration shows Sync failing with the last error, and your leads stay in Pellio.
- Needs the Standard plan or above, which also includes email forms.
