What you can do

• Replace the lesson’s complete button with “Watch the video to complete this lesson.” until the student has watched enough.
• Complete lessons automatically when watched, and prevent skipping ahead.
• Ask learners to sign an attestation after the video.
• Download watch evidence per course as CSV, and get progress reports by email.

Set it up

1. Install the Pellio plugin and connect it in Pellio → Settings.
2. Add a Pellio video to the lesson’s content with the Pellio Video block or the [pellio] shortcode. The first Pellio video in a lesson is its lesson video.
3. Go to Pellio → Settings → Courses → Lesson videos and set Require watching before a lesson can be completed (90% by default), Complete lessons automatically when watched and Prevent skipping ahead until watched.
4. Optionally turn on the attestation and choose the signature: tick a box, type their full name, or type their name and password.
5. For progress emails, tick Email a progress report in the same Courses section and choose how often.

Good to know

• Tutor LMS edits lessons in its own course builder, so the site-wide settings apply to every lesson.
• Completion is checked with Pellio against the unique seconds each student watched across sessions, then recorded through Tutor’s normal completion.
• Lesson videos resume where the student left off.
• Pellio works with one LMS at a time. If several are active, it uses LearnDash, then Tutor LMS, then Sensei LMS.
• Watch-to-complete works on every plan. The learner log, which records attestations, is on Advanced.
