What you can do

• Replace the complete button with “Watch the video to complete this lesson.” until the student has watched enough.
• Complete lessons and topics automatically when watched, and prevent skipping ahead.
• Ask learners to sign an attestation after the video.
• Download watch evidence per course as CSV, and get progress reports by email.

Set it up

1. Install the Pellio plugin and connect it in Pellio → Settings.
2. Add a Pellio video to a lesson or topic with the Pellio Video block or the [pellio] shortcode. The first Pellio video in a lesson is its lesson video.
3. Go to Pellio → Settings → Courses → Lesson videos to set the rules for every lesson: Require watching before a lesson can be completed (90% by default), Complete lessons automatically when watched and Prevent skipping ahead until watched.
4. To change one lesson, use the Pellio video box on its edit screen and tick Use settings for this lesson.
5. Optionally turn on the attestation and choose the signature: tick a box, type their full name, or type their name and password.

Good to know

• When the player reports the threshold, your site asks Pellio how many unique seconds that student watched across all sessions. Skipping, pausing with the tab open or rewatching doesn’t add up.
• Lessons complete through LearnDash’s normal completion, so certificates, emails and course progress work as usual.
• In the evidence CSV, topics count as lessons and Lesson completed shows “yes” rather than a date.
• Pellio works with one LMS at a time. If several are active, LearnDash comes first.
• Watch-to-complete works on every plan. The learner log, which records attestations, is on Advanced.
