Leads and CRM integrations
On this page
Leads in the sidebar lists everyone who filled in a form, with their extra fields, the video and the site they watched on. Search, filter by video (when leads come from more than one), or click Export CSV. Leads isn’t shown to viewers or to teammates limited to shared folders.

Mailchimp
In Settings → Integrations, click Connect on Mailchimp and add:
- an API key (Mailchimp → Profile → Extras → API keys; it ends in your data centre, for example
-us21), and - the Audience id (Audience → Settings → Audience name and defaults).
New leads are added to the audience with the tag Pellio, and their name split into first name (FNAME) and last name (LNAME). Extra fields stay in Pellio. Turn on Double opt-in to have Mailchimp ask them to confirm first.
HubSpot
Create a private app in HubSpot (Settings → Integrations → Private apps) with the crm.objects.contacts.write scope, and paste its token in Private app access token. Each lead creates or updates a contact with their email, first name and last name. For video engagement (below), also give the app the crm.schemas.contacts.write scope so Pellio can add its contact properties.
Customer.io
Add your Site ID and a Track API key (Customer.io → Workspace settings → API and webhook credentials → Track API keys), and choose your workspace’s region, US or EU. Each lead identifies a person with their email, first name and last name, and sends a pellio_lead_captured event with the video.
ActiveCampaign
Add your API URL and API key (ActiveCampaign → Settings → Developer). Each lead creates or updates a contact tagged Pellio. Add a List ID to also put new leads on that list (open the list: the number is in its URL).

Klaviyo
Create a private API key in Klaviyo (Settings → API keys) with Profiles, Lists and Events access, and paste it into Klaviyo in Settings → Integrations. Add a List ID to put new leads on a list. Each lead creates or updates a profile and sends a Pellio Lead Captured event. With video engagement on, existing profiles get Pellio Video Started, Pellio Video Progress and Pellio Video Completed events for flows and segments.
Slack
Post to a Slack channel when someone fills in a form, when an identified viewer finishes a video, and when a video is ready or can’t be processed. In Slack, create an app at api.slack.com/apps, turn on Incoming Webhooks, add a webhook for your channel and copy its URL. Paste it into Slack in Settings → Integrations, choose what to post, and Pellio sends a test message to the channel. Only finishing a video is posted, not each milestone.
Video engagement
With Sync video engagement on (the default for each tool), Pellio also tells your tools how much identified viewers watch: when someone who filled in a form, came from a link with ?email=, or is signed in on your WordPress site starts a video, passes 25%, 50% and 75%, and completes it (90% of the video, counting only what they actually watched, across visits). Each milestone is sent once.
- Mailchimp:
pellio_video_started,pellio_video_progressandpellio_video_completedevents on the contact, for Customer Journeys, and a Watched: video title tag when they finish. - HubSpot: Pellio contact properties (last video watched, its progress, when, and videos completed) for lists and workflows.
- Customer.io: the same three events, with the video and progress, to trigger campaigns.
- ActiveCampaign: Pellio custom fields (last video watched, progress, videos completed) and a Watched: video title tag when they finish, to start automations.
Engagement only updates people who are already in Mailchimp, HubSpot or ActiveCampaign; it never adds anyone. Customer.io works from events, so people who aren’t there yet are added when their first event arrives.
Connection status
Pellio checks the credentials when you save them and stores them encrypted. A connected integration shows Connected, or Sync failing with the last error, and has Edit and Disconnect. Leads are always kept in Pellio either way.
New leads are sent as they arrive. Send to your CRM on the Leads page takes you to these settings.
Webhooks
For anything else, add a webhook in Settings → Developers: every lead is sent as a lead.captured event. See Webhooks.
