What’s new in Pellio Drive

Your team’s footage as a drive, streamed from the cloud.

  1. New feature

Pellio Drive: your team’s footage as a drive, streamed from the cloud

A shared drive on every Mac and PC that streams files on demand, with locks, snapshots, links, SSO, and Review and publishing built in.

Pellio Drive puts your team’s footage on every computer as an ordinary drive, streamed from the cloud as it’s needed: everyone works in the same folders, wherever they edit, without waiting on a download or a sync.

    • Filespaces your whole team shares, mounted as a drive on your Mac (in Finder) by the Pellio Drive app; the Windows app is coming soon. Files stream as an app reads them, so Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or any other app opens a big camera file without downloading it first. Files you’ve opened are cached, and pinned folders stay on your computer for offline work.
    • Saves upload in the background and resume after a quit or a crash. A file someone has open for writing is locked, so nobody overwrites anyone else’s work, and admins can unlock it.
    • Every file in the browser too: upload, download, previews of video, audio and images, versions, and a trash that keeps deleted files for 30 days.
    • Folder permissions (no access, can view or can edit per person), snapshots of a whole filespace taken daily or hourly (browse them and restore a copy of any file or folder), and every Drive action in the workspace audit log.
    • Share a file or folder with a link (password, expiry, downloads on or off), or ask anyone for files with a Request files link that drops them straight into a folder.
    • Send to Review… and Publish to Library… from any Drive video or audio file, without uploading it again or using storage twice; editing proxies with timecode for relinking; and a Drive tab in the Premiere Pro panel that imports straight from the mounted drive.
    • Single sign-on (SAML and OIDC) and SCIM directory sync, included. An importer copies a LucidLink, Dropbox or NAS folder into Drive and picks up only what changed when you run it again.
    • $59 a month billed yearly ($69 monthly) for 5 members and 2 TB, egress included; $8 per extra member and $30 per extra TB ($35 monthly). Review + Drive together are $89 a month billed yearly. 14-day trial. See Pellio Drive and the help articles.
