Page builders and custom fields

• Elementor: a Pellio video widget.
• Bricks: a Pellio video element.
• Advanced Custom Fields: a Pellio video field type that picks a video from your Pellio library. Choose whether it returns the player, the video id (for pellio_video( $id ) in templates) or the video’s details.

The Elementor widget and Bricks element take a Pellio video, or a YouTube, Vimeo or Media Library video, with the same options as the block. Anywhere else, use the [pellio] shortcode.

SEO plugins

Every page with a Pellio video carries VideoObject structured data, including chapters as key moments and, when the video has captions, its transcript. Your site also gets a video sitemap listed in robots.txt.

• Yoast SEO and Rank Math: the video sitemap is listed in their sitemap index, and each page’s VideoObject joins their structured data graph instead of appearing as a separate script.

Page caching and optimisation

Private videos are authorised by tokens signed for each page view, which last 12 hours. When a cached page is older than that, the page quietly fetches fresh tokens before anyone presses play, so videos keep playing behind WP Rocket, LiteSpeed Cache, SiteGround Optimizer, WP Fastest Cache, host caches and CDNs. Pellio’s scripts are marked to be left alone by JavaScript delay and combine features (WP Rocket, LiteSpeed Cache, Autoptimize, Cloudflare Rocket Loader), so the first click on play is never lost. Pellio → Settings → Status warns about settings that still get in the way.
