xAPI (LRS)
Send verified video learning records to any xAPI 1.0.3 LRS.
What you can do
- Send every new learner-log entry to your LRS as an xAPI statement, within seconds.
- Report watch milestones as progressed and completed, using the xAPI Video Profile.
- Report lesson completions with the lesson and course, verified watches, reopened lessons and attestations from WordPress.
- Match each statement to Pellio’s tamper-evident learner log: it carries the entry’s number and hash.
Set it up
- In your LRS, create credentials for Pellio and copy the endpoint (https), key and secret.
- In Pellio, go to Settings → Integrations → xAPI (LRS).
- Paste the endpoint, key and secret and save. Pellio tests the connection when you save.
- Learners are people signed in on a connected WordPress site, or viewers who gave their email. Their new milestones are sent from now on.
Good to know
- Works with xAPI 1.0.3 LRSs such as SCORM Cloud, Watershed, Veracity and Learning Locker.
- Entries from before you connected aren’t sent.
- A failed send is retried 5 times, starting 30 seconds later.
- Each statement’s id comes from its learner-log entry, so nothing is sent twice.
- Milestones are counted in unique seconds watched, so skipping ahead doesn’t count.
- Needs the Advanced plan.
