Uncanny Automator
Build WordPress recipes that react to what logged-in users watch.
What you can do
- Use three Pellio triggers in your recipes: A user starts watching a video, A user completes a video and A user submits their email in a video.
- Run each trigger for any video or a chosen one.
- Use tokens in your actions: Video id, Video title, Page the video was watched on and, for forms, Email entered.
- Combine them with Automator’s actions, for example to enrol a user in a course, send an email or add a CRM tag.
Set it up
- Install the Pellio plugin with Uncanny Automator active. Connect your Pellio account in Pellio → Settings for verified completion on Pellio-hosted videos.
- In Automator, create a new recipe for logged-in users.
- Choose Pellio as the trigger integration and pick one of the three triggers.
- Choose Any video or a specific one.
- Add your actions, using the Pellio tokens where you need them, and make the recipe live.
Good to know
- Triggers fire for logged-in users only.
- Completion means watching 90% of the video. For Pellio-hosted videos, it’s checked against the unique seconds Pellio recorded, so skipping ahead doesn’t count.
- Start and completion fire once per user and video.
- The email trigger needs a video with an email form, which is on the Standard plan and above.
