Automations and analytics
The plugin reports what logged-in users watch, so you can act on it. For Pellio-hosted videos, progress and completion are checked against the unique seconds Pellio recorded for that user: skipping ahead doesn’t count. Completion means watching 90%.
CRM tags
In Pellio → Settings → Automations, with FluentCRM or WP Fusion active, choose tags for When a logged-in user starts a video, apply tags and When a logged-in user completes a video, apply tags.
Uncanny Automator
Pellio triggers: A user starts watching a video, A user completes a video and A user submits their email in a video, each for Any video or a chosen one. Tokens: Video id, Video title, Page the video was watched on and (for forms) Email entered.
Google Analytics and Tag Manager
Turn on Send video events to Google Analytics / Tag Manager in Pellio → Settings → Player. Pages with videos then send video_start, video_progress (25, 50, 75 and 90%) and video_complete to gtag() and the GTM dataLayer, with the video’s title, URL, provider, duration, current time and percent. It needs Google Analytics or Tag Manager already on your site.
For developers
PHP actions, for logged-in users:
do_action( 'pellio_video_played', $user_id, $video, $context );
do_action( 'pellio_video_progress', $user_id, $video, $percent, $context ); // 25, 50, 75, 90
do_action( 'pellio_video_completed', $user_id, $video, $context );
do_action( 'pellio_lead_captured', $user_id, $video, $email, $context );
$video is the Pellio video id, or youtube:ID, vimeo:ID or file:HASH for other videos. $context has the provider, title, post id and whether the watch was verified by Pellio. Progress and completion fire once per user and video. Filters: pellio_completion_threshold (the 90%) and pellio_automation_tags.
In the browser, every Pellio player dispatches pellio:play, pellio:progress, pellio:complete and pellio:lead DOM events, plus pellio:event for all of them. For Pellio’s own webhooks, see Webhooks.
