Slack
Hear about leads and finished videos in the channel your team already watches.
What you can do
- Post to a Slack channel when someone fills in a form in one of your videos, with their name, email and any other fields.
- Post when an identified viewer finishes a video (watches 90% of it): someone who filled in a form, came from a link with
?email=, or is signed in on your WordPress site. - Post when a video is ready to watch, or when one can’t be processed, with the reason.
- Choose which of these the channel gets. Each post links to the video in Pellio.
Set it up
- In Slack, go to api.slack.com/apps and create an app from scratch in your workspace.
- Turn on Incoming Webhooks, click Add New Webhook to Workspace and pick the channel.
- Copy the webhook URL. It starts with
https://hooks.slack.com/services/. - In Pellio, go to Settings → Integrations and click Connect on Slack.
- Paste the webhook URL, choose what to post and click Connect. Pellio posts a test message to the channel.
Good to know
- Starting a video or passing 25%, 50% or 75% isn’t posted, only finishing, so the channel stays readable. For every milestone, use webhooks or Zapier.
- If Slack stops accepting posts (for example, the webhook was removed), the integration shows Sync failing with the reason.
- Needs the Standard plan or above.
