What you can do

• Add videos with the Pellio Video, Pellio Playlist and Pellio Lightbox blocks, the [pellio] shortcode, or by pasting a Pellio share link.
• Upload straight from the browser to Pellio, not through your server. Large uploads resume if interrupted.
• Browse, edit and trash videos in Pellio → Videos, with thumbnails, chapters, captions and analytics.
• Play Private and domain-restricted videos on your site and nowhere else: embeds are signed for each page view.
• Limit a video to logged-in users or to members of chosen plans.
• Play YouTube, Vimeo and Media Library videos in the Pellio player, even without a Pellio account.
• Replace old Vimeo, Wistia and Presto Player embeds across your site, with undo.

Set it up

1. Download the plugin from pellio.io/download/wordpress.
2. In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the zip and click Activate.
3. Go to Pellio → Settings and click Connect to Pellio.
4. Sign in if asked, check the workspace and click Connect site. Your domain is added to the workspace’s allowed domains.
5. Edit a post, add a Pellio Video block and drop in a file or pick one from your library.

Everyone on your site uses its connection, so your team doesn’t need their own Pellio accounts. Choose which roles can upload and manage the library in Pellio → Settings → Access.

Good to know

• Needs WordPress 6.5 or later and PHP 8.1 or later.
• Free includes 1 connected site, Starter 3, and Standard and above unlimited.
• Pellio → Settings → Status checks the connection, embed signing, your allowed domain, Content Security Policy and caching plugins.
• WP-CLI commands cover status, scanning, migration, rollback and moving Media Library videos.
