Delete, restore and permanently remove videos
Updated October 1, 2026
Deleting a video moves it to Trash. It stops playing everywhere straight away, but you have 30 days to change your mind.
Delete a video
Open the video and choose Delete, or select several videos in your library and use the bulk actions.
Restore a video
Open Trash in your library, select the video and choose Restore. It comes back with its link, embeds, captions and analytics, and plays again everywhere.
Remove a video for good
Videos in Trash are removed permanently after 30 days, together with their files. To remove one sooner, select it in Trash and choose Delete forever. This can’t be undone.
Videos in Trash still count towards your storage until they’re removed.
