Dub your videos into other languages with AI
Paid add-onUpdated October 1, 2026
On this page
AI dubbing recreates the voices in your video in another language. Each dub is made once and stored with the video, then plays on every embed. It’s an add-on on paid plans, off until an owner or admin switches it on.
Switch on the add-on
- Go to Settings → Billing → AI dubbing.
- Check the monthly limit: dubs that would take the month over it are refused.
- Choose Switch on AI dubbing and accept the price. You need a card in Billing.
Order a dub
- Open the video and go to its Translate tab.
- Choose up to 10 languages. The price is shown before you order: per minute of video, per language.
- Confirm you have the rights to the video and permission to recreate the voices in it.
- Choose Order. Your card is charged once. Dubs usually take a few minutes, and you get an email when each one is live.
If a dub fails, it’s refunded automatically.
Dub new videos automatically
In Settings → Billing → AI dubbing, choose languages under Dub new videos automatically into. Every new video, and every replaced file, is dubbed into them when it’s ready, within your monthly limit. If an automatic dub can’t be made (for example, it would go over the limit), owners and admins get an email and nothing is charged.
How viewers hear it
- Pages in that language play the dub automatically. Pellio’s embed script reads the page’s language (
<html lang="de">), so a German page plays the German dub and pages in other languages play the original. The WordPress plugin follows the page’s language too, including with WPML and Polylang. - Viewers can switch language any time in the player’s Audio menu.
- To choose the language yourself, add
lang="de"to the<pellio-player>tag, orlang="auto"to use the viewer’s browser language. - Each dub also adds captions in that language (unless the video already has them), and they’re searchable.
Good to know
- A dub is made for one version of the file. If you replace the video, existing dubs show as Older version.
- Removing a dub stops it playing straight away; it isn’t refunded.
- Lip movements aren’t changed, and translations can’t be edited yet.
