LifterLMS

With the Pellio plugin connected, paste a Pellio share link into a lesson, course or membership’s Video Embed URL field, or pick a video from your library in the Pellio video box on the lesson screen. Private lesson videos play for students enrolled in the course and nowhere else. Course and membership videos play for anyone who can see that page, like any other video on your site.

Require watching

In the Pellio video box (also in the course builder’s lesson settings):

• Require watching before “Mark Complete”, with Watched at least a percentage (10 to 100, 90 by default). The button stays hidden until the student gets there.
• Complete the lesson automatically when watched.
• Prevent skipping ahead until watched: students can’t move past the furthest point they’ve watched until the requirement is met.

Completion is checked with Pellio against the seconds the student actually watched, across all their sessions, so jumping to the end never counts. Lesson videos also resume where the student left off.

Attestation

In the same box, Ask learners to confirm they watched it (attestation) adds a step after the video. Once Pellio has verified the watch, the learner confirms your statement before the lesson can be completed (with auto-complete on, it completes when they confirm). Write the Statement in your own words (in the course builder it’s Attestation statement). For Signature, choose Tick a box, Type their full name or Type their name and password: asking for the password re-authenticates the learner at the moment they sign. Each attestation is recorded in the learner log with the statement, the name they typed, the method, the video version and how much they watched.

When a video is replaced

In Pellio, a video’s Completion must be on the latest version setting (in its Privacy card) makes only watching the current version count. When you replace the file, students who completed the lesson on an older version find it reopened, with a note asking them to watch the new version, and sign again if the lesson has an attestation. LifterLMS lessons reopen only when Require watching or automatic completion is on for them.

Reporting and evidence

• LifterLMS Reporting → Students → a student → Courses → a course shows a Video watched column, and each lesson’s edit screen has a Pellio: student video progress table.
• On the course screen, Pellio watch evidence → Download CSV exports one row per student and lesson: unique seconds and percent watched, sessions, first and last viewed, the video version watched, when Pellio verified the watch, when the lesson was completed, the best quiz grade, and when and as whom they attested. The same CSVs are under Pellio → Settings → Courses → Watch evidence, and wp pellio evidence COURSE_ID exports one from WP-CLI.
• For second-by-second detail, open the video’s Viewers tab in Pellio (it has its own CSV export).

Progress reports by email

In Pellio → Settings → Courses, tick Email a progress report for each course with Pellio lesson videos, choose How often (Weekly or Daily) and Send to (email addresses, separated by commas). Each report covers every course with Pellio lesson videos: how many learners have finished every video, are in progress or haven’t started (with their names), and the period’s verified watches, lesson completions and attestations. Tick Attach each course’s watch evidence CSV to get the evidence with it. Reports go out at 7am site time through the site’s own email setup; Send a report now sends one straight away.

Course builder

In the course builder, a lesson’s Pellio video panel can pick the lesson video from your Pellio library (it fills in the Video Embed URL) and holds the same watch and attestation settings.

Engagements

Two triggers are added to LifterLMS engagements, for achievements, certificates and emails: Student watches a lesson’s Pellio video (verified) and Student has watched every Pellio video in a course. Developers can use the pellio_llms_lesson_video_watched ( $user_id, $lesson_id ) and pellio_llms_course_videos_watched ( $user_id, $course_id ) actions.

Quizzes

Put a Pellio share link in a quiz question’s video field and it plays in the Pellio player, private videos included.

Resume on any device

Signed-in students pick up a lesson video where they got to, even on another device: Pellio knows which seconds they’ve watched.
