What you can do

• Import up to 1,000 videos per run, with their titles, descriptions, captions and thumbnails.
• Recreate your Wistia projects as Pellio folders.
• Turn timestamps in descriptions, like 0:00 Intro, into chapters.
• On WordPress, replace Wistia embeds (iframes, standard embeds and their scripts) with Pellio across every post, with undo.

Set it up

1. In Wistia, go to Account → Settings → API Access and create an API token with read access to your media.
2. In Pellio, click Import in the Library and open the Wistia tab.
3. Paste the token and click Find videos. Pellio lists your videos with thumbnails, lengths and projects.
4. Untick any you don’t want, choose whether to recreate projects as folders, and click Import.
5. If your site runs WordPress, open Pellio → Migration in the plugin, click Scan this site, then Preview changes and Replace embeds.

Good to know

• Only videos are imported, not images or audio.
• The token is used for that import only and never stored.
• Videos already imported are marked Imported, so running the import again only brings in new ones.
• Each file has to fit in your plan’s storage. A video that doesn’t shows as failed with the reason, and the rest carry on.
• Every WordPress migration run is backed up and listed under Previous runs, with Undo.
