Get started with Pellio Drive

Pellio Drive puts your team’s files on every computer as an ordinary drive. Files stream from Pellio as an app reads them, so an editor can open a big camera file without downloading it first. It’s an add-on with its own price, next to your Pellio plan.

Start the trial

1. Click Drive in the sidebar. Only workspace owners and admins can start it.
2. Choose Yearly or Monthly billing. Add Extra members or Extra storage (TB) now if you already know you need them.
3. Add your card and click Save card and start trial (or Start free trial if your card is already on file). Nothing is charged for 14 days, and each workspace gets one trial.

Make a filespace

A filespace is one shared drive. Click New filespace and give it a name, for example one for current projects and another for the archive. Each filespace shows up on your team’s computers as its own drive, and in the browser under Filespaces.

Choose who uses Drive

Drive includes 5 members. Owners are on from the start; admins turn other people on and off under Members on the Drive page, and add more seats under Billing. Restricted members and clients can’t use Drive yet. People you share links with don’t need to be members, or to have a Pellio account.

Connect a computer

1. Install the Pellio Drive app on the computer. Use the Pellio Drive app on Mac and Windows covers Mac and Windows.
2. Open the app and click Sign in. Pellio opens a page in your browser.
3. Check that the page shows the same code as the app, then click Connect. The app signs in by itself within a few seconds.
4. In the app, click Mount next to a filespace. It opens as a folder called Pellio Drive in your home folder, with one folder per filespace.

The Drive page lists the computers you’ve connected under Your computers, with when each was last seen and anything it still has to upload. Click Sign out next to a computer you no longer use.
