Send Drive files to Review and the Library, and make editing proxies
A video or audio file in Drive can go to Pellio Review or your Library without being uploaded again or copied: Pellio processes it straight from Drive, and it doesn’t count twice in your storage.
Send to Review
- Open the file’s ⋯ menu and click Send to Review…. This needs Pellio Review on your workspace, and you need to be a Review editor.
- Choose the Project, and under As choose A new file or A new version of one already there.
- Click Send to Review. It starts processing at once; the link opens the new version in Review.
Publish to Library
Open the file’s ⋯ menu, click Publish to Library…, check the Title and click Publish. It becomes a Library video like any upload, with embeds, share links and analytics.
Only video and audio files can be sent this way. If Pellio later needs its own copy of the original, for example when someone downloads it from Review, it makes one, and from then on that copy counts in your Review or hosting storage too.
Editing proxies
Open a video’s ⋯ menu and click Make editing proxy. Pellio makes a lighter H.264 copy at half the size (up to 1920 pixels wide) with all the audio, metadata and timecode, and saves it as Proxies/<name>_proxy.mov next to the original, so Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve can relink between them. The file shows Making proxy…, then Proxy in Proxies; Make the proxy again replaces it.
Admins can have every new video get a proxy: click ⋯ next to Upload and, under Editing proxies for new videos, choose Make a proxy for each (or Only when asked to stop). Proxies count toward your Drive storage.
The Premiere Pro panel’s Drive tab
The Pellio panel for Premiere Pro (see Use Pellio Review with Premiere Pro) has a Drive tab when your workspace has filespaces. To use a file in your project, drag it from the filespace in Finder into Premiere: it streams, nothing is downloaded first. Review on a video or audio file in the Drive tab sends it to a Review project you pick, without copying.
