Get started with Pellio Review

Paid add-onUpdated October 8, 2026
On this page

Pellio Review is where your team and your clients give feedback on video, audio and images, approve them, and publish the approved version. It’s an add-on with its own price, and it works on any Pellio plan, including Free. The Pellio Review page has the overview.

Start the trial

  1. Click Review in the sidebar. Only workspace owners and admins can start it.
  2. Choose yearly or monthly billing, add your card and click Save card and start trial. Nothing is charged for 14 days.
  3. On day 15 the trial becomes a subscription unless you cancel before then, under Review → Editors & billing. Each workspace gets one trial.

Review starts with a sample project: a short cut with a client’s comments and drawings, an internal note, and two versions to compare. Open it to try the player, then delete it whenever you like. A Get started checklist on the Review page tracks the first steps.

Choose your editors

Editors are the people who upload, manage projects and share work. The add-on includes 5; admins choose who they are under Review → Editors & billing and can add more there. Reviewers you share with (clients, colleagues outside Pellio) are free and unlimited, and never need an account.

Create a project and upload

  1. Click New project and name it, for a piece of work or a client. Add folders inside it if you like.
  2. Click Upload (or drop files on the page). Video (ProRes, H.264 and most other formats, up to 4K), audio and images all work. Files go straight to storage, so large uploads are fine.
  3. Each file becomes an asset with a status: Needs review, In progress, Changes requested or Approved.

Add a new version

Open an asset and click New version to upload the next cut. It stacks as v2, v3 and so on, and every earlier version keeps playing, with its own comments. When the previous version has open comments, Carry them to v2 (or v3, and so on) copies them across, and Compare plays two versions side by side.

Move or delete files and projects

Each file’s ⋯ menu (on its card, or on its page) has Move to…, for another project or folder, and Delete, which also clears out uploads that never finished. To move a whole project to another workspace you’re in, open it and click Move to workspace: files, versions, comments, approvals and review links all move, and Review needs to be on in that workspace.

Archived projects

Projects with no activity for 60 days move to Archived. Comments, approvals and original files stay; only the streaming copies are removed. Opening an archived project, or a reviewer opening its link, brings it back: videos process again for a few minutes, then play as before. You can also archive a project yourself from its page.
