The review player is built for precise feedback. Everything below works for your team; reviewers you share with get the same tools except internal notes.

Move around

  • The timecode shows hours, minutes, seconds and frames at the file’s own frame rate, starting from its own start timecode (for example 01:00:00:00). 29.97 and 59.94 fps files with drop-frame timecode show it with a semicolon.
  • Space or K plays and pauses; L plays (press again for 2×); J goes back a second. The Left and Right arrows step one frame, with Shift one second.
  • I and O mark the start and end of a range and X clears it; turn on Loop to repeat it. The speed menu goes from 0.25× to 2×. The keyboard button beside the player lists every shortcut.
  • Comments show as markers on the timeline. Click a comment’s timecode to jump to it.

Comment

  • A comment is on the current frame, on the range you marked with I and O, or on the whole file (switch it in the comment box).
  • Click Draw (or press D) to mark up the frame with a pen, arrow, box or circle before you post; Esc stops drawing. Drawings appear on the frame whenever the player reaches that comment.
  • Type @ to mention a teammate: they get an email. Reply to a comment to keep the discussion in one thread.
  • Tick Internal (team only) for notes only your team sees. Reviewers never see internal notes or replies to them.
  • Resolve a comment when it’s done; the resolved ones move out of the way but stay on that version.

Voice notes: when it’s quicker to say it, click Voice, speak for up to 2 minutes and stop the recording. Listen back, then send it, with or without text. Reviewers can leave voice notes too, and everyone plays them right in the comment.

Images and audio

On images, click anywhere to comment and draw on the picture. Audio has the same timed comments, shown in minutes and seconds.

Transcript

If a version has captions (for example, one sent for review from a Library video that has them), its Transcript appears below the player; click a line to jump there.

Compare versions

Click Compare on an asset with more than one version. Two players sit side by side and play, pause and step together; choose the other version with Compare with. When a new version arrives and the previous one has open comments, Carry them to v… copies the unresolved ones across so nothing is lost.
