Share for review and collect approvals
On this page
Reviewers outside your team review through a link. They don’t need a Pellio account and they’re free.
Create a share
- Click Share on an asset, or on a project (to share the whole project or one of its folders).
- Choose the settings: a password, an expiry date, whether reviewers can comment and download, and which versions they see (Latest, All, or only versions your team has approved internally).
- Optionally add a watermark with each reviewer’s name and email over the video.
- Copy the link and send it. You can change the settings, or turn the link off, at any time.
What reviewers see
Your workspace’s name, icon and colour, then the files in the share. The first time they comment, they give their name and email; their browser remembers them. They can comment on frames and ranges, draw, reply, edit or delete their own comments, and click Approve or Request changes.
Approve internally first
On a version, Approve internally records your team’s sign-off. Shares set to show approved versions only show those, so a client never sees a cut before your team is happy with it.
Approvals on record
Every approval and request for changes is kept per version with the person’s name, email and time, under Approvals on the asset, and in your workspace’s audit log. The asset’s status changes to match.
Notifications
- Your team gets one email digest a few minutes after reviewers finish, not one email per comment.
- Reviewers get an email when someone replies in their thread or a new version is ready, and can unsubscribe from a share with one click.
- Each share in the list shows who has opened it.
