Publish approved videos and use the approval gate
Review and your Library are connected, so an approved cut never has to be downloaded and uploaded again.
Publish a version
- Open the asset, choose the version and click Publish.
- Choose A new video (with a title and folder) or A new version of a video already in your Library.
- Click Publish. The file is copied inside Pellio and processed; captions on the version come along.
A new version of an existing video keeps its ID, so every embed, share link, playlist and its analytics carry on, and the new file goes live once it has processed. The review keeps its own copy, so its history stays playable.
Send a Library video for review
On a video’s page in the Library, click Send for review. It becomes an asset in a Review project called From the Library, ready to share.
The approval gate
On a Library video, turn on New versions wait for approval. From then on, when anyone replaces that video’s file, the new file doesn’t go live: it’s added to Review as a new version of the video’s asset, and the video page says it’s waiting for approval. The current version keeps playing everywhere. As soon as that version is approved in Review, by your team or a reviewer, it replaces the live video.
Automations
Review events are sent to your webhooks and Zapier: review.comment, review.approved, review.changes_requested, review.version and review.published. AI assistants connected through Pellio’s MCP server can list your review work and read its feedback.
